Room on the Broom

We have been reading Room on the Broom this week. Could you draw me a picture of a witch and some animals on a broom? It would be lovely if you could label the animals e.g cat, frog Have fun. 😄

Phonics

We have been learning a lot of sounds in Class 1. So far we have learnt
m, a, s, d, t, I, n, p, g, o, c, k, u, b. I have given each child a list of the rhymes we use to help learn the sounds and form the letters.
We are learning how to sound out simple words and blend them together to read. Your child may bring home a reading book with first words in. Help them to sound each letter, then practise saying each sound and blending them together to make a word. S a m sssssss Aaaaaaa mmmmmm Sam!
I will not be giving any new sounds until I feel we are a little more secure with the sounds we have learnt so far.
Thank you for your support
Mrs Sheppard
