Whoops-A-Daisy Angel πŸ˜‡

I would like to say how proud Lindsay, Miss Wigmore, Mrs Hillidge and myself are of all the children in Class 1. You worked so hard and put on a lovely show for your grown ups. A big thank you to the friends for providing refreshments after and to those staff who helped behind the scenes. πŸ€—

Week 10 😊

We have been delighted to share our week with some furry friends. The children have been busy writing name badges, measuring how tall their teddies are, weighing them and making a scarf with repeating patterns on to keep them cosy. The teddies even joined us for singing assembly.
Anti bullying week has been a focus in our class so we made a kindness heart using our handprints and thought about how we could be a good friend. πŸ˜ƒ
We had a super afternoon when we went to visit the church and Rev Linda. Exploring the church helped us to learn and remember lots of new things.
We have been singing some very special songs and we can remember some of the words already. πŸ‘Ό We have been busy trying on costumes too. If you have any questions please pop and see me after school. IMG_8115IMG_8103IMG_8114

Week 9 😊

This week has gone so quickly. It started well as we had the Bear for receiving the most Baschurch Ways and Mr Hughes said we were the best class during P.E so we had the trophy! 🌟🌟🌟

We have been busy making cookies and using different shaped cutters to reinforce shape names. The children are describing and naming circles, squares, rectangles, triangles and even pentagons and hexagons. πŸ€—

🐟🐠We have two new goldfish to take care of. The one has been named Treacle and we are still thinking of a name for the orange one. Ideas welcome! β˜˜οΈπŸƒWe have planted some plants with strong scents this week to enhance our outdoor peaceful area. The children are enjoy sitting on our new bench and reading outdoors. πŸ“š

In RWI we have been exploring sh, r, j, and v. We are starting to blend sounds with increasing success this week.
Have a lovely weekend. 😺

Week 8 πŸ™‚

What a busy first week back after half term. I want to say how proud we all are of how the children have been coming into school so beautifully. Saying goodbye at the gate, Β bringing all their belongings into class and organising themselves. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

This week we have been working on the sounds Β e, l, h Β and working on blending these sounds together to read and spell cvc (consonant vowel consonant) words such as cat, hen … Please remember to look at your child’s sound cards as they have had new sounds added today.

In maths we have been looking at shapes. We have been guessing the shape in the freely bag, making shape pictures, printing with shapes and making rockets.

In RE we have been looking at the Noah’s Ark story and have made doves as a symbol of peace.

The panto Dick Whittington was a lovely surprise and a real treat. The children throughly enjoyed it and were able to tell me all about the characters and storyline after.

In Forest School the children created some lovely pictures using natural materials and found the mud! πŸ˜ƒπŸπŸ‚

Super sharing of Show and Tell books. You have worked really hard to create wonderful pieces of art, craft, photos etc to reflect family time. The children are really proud to share these books with classmates. I must apologise for not sending the books home today. Please feel free to record Show and Tell on a piece of paper and we will stick them in.

The children have been very excited about Bonfire Night, enjoy your weekend. πŸ’₯
