Arriving at School
The gates open at 8:30 and children come onto the playground. They can either play outside or go straight into class. A bell is rung at 8.40am for morning registration.

We expect the children to be on time for school. A member of staff is on duty every morning from 8.30am to welcome the children, chat to parents and ensure children don’t go back though the gate. We can only accept responsibility for your children from this time.

For safety reasons, a responsible adult must meet all Reception and Key Stage 1 (KS1) children at the end of the school day. The teacher in charge of the classroom will not send children out until they are sure they will be safe. If there is ever a problem and parents are delayed, please be assured that we will look after your children until you arrive.

Playtimes
All children have a playtime during the morning for 20 minutes. In all but the most inclement weather the children are encouraged to make use of the outside environment and should therefore have a coat available. During the morning break the children are encouraged to have a healthy snack. Reception and KS1 children are provided with a piece of fruit, KS2 children can either bring in a piece of fruit or vegetable. Under 5’s also receive free school milk.
Throughout the day (both during lessons and breaktimes) children are able to access fresh water to drink.
