Pre-Loved Uniform Donations

Pre-loved uniform donations needed! ♻️

As children grow, uniforms are often left in great condition — and your donation could make a real difference. 👕

We’re looking for:
• Logo polo tops
• Jumpers & cardigans
• Trousers, shorts & summer dresses
• Book bags

Please ensure all items are clean and in good, wearable condition.

Please drop them off bagged, at the school office.

Thank you for supporting Friends, and helping make uniforms more affordable for everyone.

Every penny we raise is reinvested into our school, helping provide resources and opportunities for all classes 💙

Year 6 Information.

Dear Parents/Carers

Firstly, we would just like to say a big thank you for all your support with SATs and helping preparing the children. We are revising key areas and spending this week completing practise questions on SATs Boot Camp, through quizzes, a scavenger hunt and in supported groups. The children are doing well and we have continued to encourage and support all areas of learning. We would appreciate the continued practise at home, allowing your child to access SATs Boot Camp.

For our English topic, we would like to watch Hugo (PG) as part of our English work linked to our class book The Invention of Hugo Cabret, supporting our learning around character, setting and inference. The film is a heartfelt, visually intense story about magic, adventure and early cinema.
  • The film focuses on loss, loneliness, and poverty, as the main character is an orphan surviving alone in a 1930s Paris train station. There is an adult character who struggles with alcohol and is unable to care for the main characters at the beginning of the film and mild themes of danger and death.
  • The class have loved the book and children who watch the film will take away worthwhile messages about perseverance and overcoming challenges.
  • If you would like to contact us about any information, please do so.
  • Kind regards,
  • Miss McLaughlin

Screen Time for Young Children

New advice for parents on screen time for young children

On 27 March 2026, the Government published advice on screen use for children aged 0-5 on the Best Start in Life website.

The early years are a critical period for children’s development. The advice offers practical, non-judgemental support to help families balance screen use with other activities.

Nut free School

We would like to remind parents/carers that we are a ‘nut free’ school.

In the interests of protecting pupils and staff with nut allergies, we request that you do not send your children to school with any of the following:

  • Packaged nuts
  • Peanut butter or chocolate spreads containing nuts
  • Cereal, granola or chocolate bars containing nuts
  • Cake or biscuits containing nuts
  • Peanut-based sauces like satay
  • Any food made with sesame seeds (which can cause a similar allergic reaction)

The above list is not exhaustive. Please check the ingredient lists carefully.

Both children and adults with severe nut allergies can suffer from life-threatening reactions if they eat, smell, or touch any foods containing nuts. We are therefore grateful for your cooperation in helping to keep our pupils and staff safe.
