A few weeks ago, our Bachurch Netball team went next door to the Corbet school to paticipate in the Netball tournement.
Throughout the day, miniature games were being set up between schools. Team Baschurch was lucky enough to make it into the finals, after beating most of the other schools there.
As soon as they came back to school at about midday, word spread that Baschurch had won.
Frankie, (our photographer,) explained that both of the Baschurch teams won the tournement. “It was really fun!” she exclaimed. “I was very exited. When we got back, we sprayed each other with water, because we were so happy.”
|
Fleur commented, “We got to meet new people there. It was quite easy. Our High Score was around 5 or 6.”
The teams Baschurch played against were: Bicton, Ruyton, Myddle, Kinnerley, Bomere and West Felton.
This is the second time in two years that Baschurch have won the Corbet school Netball tournement. But will our winning streak continue?

Hello Yellow
On Friday 11th October, we all came to school wearing yellow. But why? What was the point?
That Friday was Mental Health day! We were supporting Young Minds by fundraising money for their charity.
Young Minds helps adults make sure that their children are happy, and make sure that they know that they are not alone.
Lila (our interviewer) declared, “It was fun! I got to doodle on what I wanted and what made me feel happy. Mrs Williams was quite happy with her dungarees. She even made a video about them.”
Hannah exclaimed, “I really enjoyed it. I got to draw a flower on the dungarees, which made me happy. I also donated money to the Young Minds charity on Yellow Day.” |

Our Harvest festival has just occurred, on the 22nd October 2024. It has been a tradition in our school for hundreds of years, and is a key part of our harvest celebration.
Our harvest festival is a reminder to not waste our food, and to help others to get it. It also reminds us to be thankful for what we have; not just food. |
All classes worked really hard to deliver a performance for parents/guardians to watch. We hope next year’s will be just as good. |
