Year 6 have arrived safely and are all looking forward to the day ahead!
Just a reminder that Year 6 will have their Intake Day at The Corbet School tomorrow, Wednesday 10 July.
Children should come to school as usual in the morning. They will then be taken to The Corbet School at 9.30am and will return to school for approximately 2.45pm.
If your child would like a school dinner, they should bring £2.40 with them. Children may also bring £1.00-£1.50 for a snack at break time.
Children must also take with them any medication or inhalers which they may require.
Children should not wear their Leavers Hoodies. Normal school sweatshirts must be worn.
We would like to remind you that it is our Leavers’ Service at All Saints’ Church, Baschurch on Thursday 11 July at 9.00am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
After the service, we would like to invite all year 6 parents to a special assembly which will celebrate each of our Year 6 pupils. During the assembly, awards will be given and year 6 children will have the chance to show off their talents.
Tea/coffee will be served between 10.30-11.00am, whilst children have their morning break and the assembly will begin at 11.00am. Year 6 parents are then welcome to stay for our Year 6 Leavers’ Lunch at 12.00pm. Please return the reply slip by Monday 08 July if you would like to attend.
We have managed to arrange a friendly for our year 4, 5 and 6 girls and boys teams tomorrow against Myddle!

Finish time: 4:30 at the latest

This has been arranged for the children who have been attending the club this term.
You are more than welcome to come and support the teams – please pick your child up from the VILLAGE HALL.
Reminder that our year 5/6 performances of ‘The X Factory’ are taking place today at 1.45pm and 6.00pm. If possible, please could all year 5/6 children arrive back at school this evening between 5.30-5.45pm. Thank you.
There will be no tickets sent home for the Y5/6 performances tomorrow.
Please be assured that we have a list of everyone that has paid for tickets so please do not worry – we will let you in! We look forward to seeing you all.
There are extra tickets available for both performances of ‘The X Factory’ this week. If you would like any extra tickets, please contact the school office. These will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Any parents/cares of year 6 pupils, who wish to apply for free school transport for their child/children from September 2019, should do so before Friday 31st May 2019.
Applications can be made online at www.shropshire.gov.uk or over the phone with the Council’s Customer Service Team by calling 0345 6789008. Alternatively, should you require a paper copy of the application form, please do not hesitate to contact the school or Passenger Transport directly via email,firstname.lastname@example.org or over the phone on the above telephone number.
It is important to explain that, if the application is not received by 31st May 2019, the Authority may be unable to provide transport for the beginning of the autumn term 2019 and parents/carers will need to make their own transport arrangements.
Please could all sports kits be returned to school as soon as possible. We are currently missing 6 sports tops (left in picture) and 6 football kits (right in picture). It would be a great help if these were washed before being returned to school.
The Year 5 Residential letter was sent home with year 5 children yesterday afternoon. If you did not receive a copy of this letter, please contact the school office.
Letters for the Year 4 Residential and Year 6 Residential will be sent home with children at the beginning of next week.
