Headlice

It has come to our attention that we may have some unwelcome visitors in school. We would be grateful for your support in eradicating the lice. Please examine your child’s hair thoroughly and regularly and treat where necessary as soon as possible.  We also ask that you keep your child’s hair tied back whilst at school.

You may contact your GP, health visitor or pharmacist for more information.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Hello Yellow – World Mental Health Day – Friday 9th October 2026

💛 HELLO YELLOW IS BACK! 💛
We’re excited to be supporting YoungMinds’ Hello Yellow again this year, raising awareness of children and young people’s mental health.
🟡 Wear Yellow!
We’re asking all children to come to school wearing something yellow to help us turn our school yellow and show young people that they’re not alone with their mental health.
💛 This could be a yellow T-shirt, jumper, socks, hair accessory – or as much yellow as you like!
We’ll also be sharing a donation link for YoungMinds for any families who would like to make a contribution to this fantastic charity.

🍇 A gentle reminder about grapes in lunch boxes

We have recently noticed some very large grapes being included in children’s lunch boxes.

We would like to remind all parents and carers that, for young children, grapes should always be cut in half lengthways before being placed in a lunch box.

Whole grapes can present a choking risk, particularly for younger children. Cutting them lengthways reduces this risk and makes them safer for children to eat.

We appreciate that this is a small extra step when preparing a lunch box, but it can make a very important difference to your child’s safety.
