Harvest Festival

This year’s Harvest Festival will take place on the afternoon of Friday 28 September at All Saints’ Church, Baschurch.  We look forward to seeing you there!

After our Harvest Festival, we invite you all to come back to school for our Macmillan Coffee Afternoon.

Swimming Y4 & Y5

Just a reminder that Year 4 and 5 children will have their first swimming session this Wednesday 19 September.

Please be aware that if we have not received your child’s permission slip, they will be unable to go on Wednesday.

Choir members!

 

A letter should have gone home to all year 4/5/6 children in choir yesterday giving information about a vocal workshop later in the year. We have to confirm the spaces so if your child wants to attend could you please get your slips back to myself or Emily in the office. Can I also remind parents to check their child is booked in and payments are sorted so we can start to get organised for the Autumn term.

Still waiting on the young voices songs to be released! We also have some Christmas events hopeful for the calendar this year (weather dependant).

Music Lessons

Music lessons have started again this week.  Keyboard and flute lessons will continue to be on a Monday. Guitar lessons will continue to be on Thursdays.  Violin lessons will now be on a Thursday.  Please ensure that children have their instruments with them on the appropriate day.

Letters with more information will be sent home this week.

Message for Reception Parents – Grab and Go Bags

You may be aware that children in school have the opportunity to order ‘Grab and Go Bags’ for their lunch to have instead of a hot dinner.  Grab and Go Bags contain a sandwich or wrap, a pasta salad pot and a pudding. Children may also take a piece of fruit if they wish. Milk and water is provided.

Children in Reception will have the chance to order Grab and Go Bags after Christmas, once they are settled and fully confident with the school lunchtime routine. Until then, only hot dinners will be available for them.  If you have any questions, please contact the school office.

Hockey Club will start next week (Wednesday 19 September).  It will not be running this afternoon.

KS2 Dance After School Club

This term, children in years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will have the opportunity to take part in an after school Dance Club!

The club will take place every Tuesday after school until 4.15pm, starting Tuesday 25 September 2018. It is suitable for both boys and girls and will be run by Saskia from ReachOut Arts.

The club will cost £5.00 per session. Please contact Saskia on gem@reachoutarts.co.uk to book a place.  School cannot book places for you.

Individual School Photographs

Individual School Photographs will take place on Tuesday 02 October. Please ensure that only correct school uniform is worn. If you have a pre-schooler that you would like in the photo with their sibling, please bring them to the school office at 8:30am. Thank you.
