Message from Miss McLaughlin to Year 6 Parents/Carers

Dear Parents/Carers,

As tomorrow will be my final day covering the class, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support during my time with Year 6. It has been a pleasure getting to know and teach the children.

As a treat for their hard work this term, the children will be watching a PG-rated film during the morning. If you would prefer your child not to participate, please let us know as soon as possible tomorrow morning and alternative arrangements can be made.

In the afternoon, the children will also be going onto the field as a reward they have earned.

I would like to wish all of the children the very best for the remainder of the summer term and every success as they move on to the next exciting chapter at secondary school.

Kind regards,

Miss McLaughlin

Year 6 Maths Treasure Hunt

Our Year 6 children have been having great fun taking their maths learning outside with an exciting treasure hunt to support their arithmetic skills. Here are some photos of the children enjoying their learning in the sunshine!

Well Done Year 6!

Well done to all of our wonderful Year 6 children for completing their SATs. We are incredibly proud of every single one of you!

A huge thank you to Mrs Hillidge, Miss McLaughlin, Mrs Beard and Mrs Kovach, for their hard work and for organising the lovely SATs breakfasts each morning.

Here are some photos of the children starting their days together and enjoying their breakfasts!

Autumn Term 2

Hope you have all had a great half term and ready for the new term ahead! We are really looking forward to catching up with you all and your news! Just a polite reminder that next week we will be representing our school at All Saints Church for their annual Remembrance Service. Some children will be taking part in reading poems or laying wreaths.

Please could the class be dressed as evacuees once again to mark this event? Thank you

I have summarised below some dates for the diary for the term so far.

Good Luck and Farewell

We had a very special day marking the departure of a very special member of the class as she leaves for her new school and exciting adventures ahead. Although she will not be far, we knew it was important to mark this change for us all. A movie afternoon with some treats! Good bye and good luck!
