Year 3

Hello, welcome to a new school year. All the children in Year 3 have been given a homework book with their spelling shed log in stuck at the back. The spellings for this week are ou words. They can record them in their books and also on a computer. I will test them on Friday. They also have an IDL log in stuck in their reading record book.

Monday 13th July Year 3

Well done for all your hard work during this lock down, we’ve made it to the last week of the year! The summer holidays start on Friday-hooray!  It has been a very strange time, but things are gradually returning to some normality. It will be lovely to see you all again in September and Mr Whyte is looking forward to teaching you all.

So for today there is chapter 4 of “The Ice Cream Villain” to read and answer questions on. Afterwards, I want you to pretend that you witnessed the Ice Cream Villain chase and fire the ice cream at Tara and Guy. Write a police witness statement describing what you saw. There is some maths on 2 digit addition.

On BBC Bitesize the maths is comparing capacity in litres and millilitres. The English is on newspaper reports and revising the features of newspapers. In addition, there is some science on exploring the features of light and reflections.
