What a smashing start to the week!
Thank you so much for supporting your child with their reading, spelling and times tables at home. The children are so proud to claim their Dojo points for the class. Today they will bring home their times tables test with the score and a sheet to practice for next time. We don’t mark this sheet, just the final test at the end of the week. It is for reference and for you to make copies, if you wish. Some children do need to go back a step with their tables after the summer break and we do stick to the 5 minute time limit. We have started our writing unit on the text Journey, worked hard to learn how to join our writing in pen, worked on place value to 1000 and enjoyed art and PE and our new book talk text-How does a Lighthouse work?
Please note that your child needs to have their reading book and homework folder in school every day as well as a water bottle, snack and waterproof coat.

Times tables tests are every Wednesday.

Spelling tests are every Friday.

Homework is set as a termly menu and sent out at the start of each term in a homework folder. This is in addition to daily reading, spelling and times tables practise.
