This term’s homework

We have attached a paper copy of this term’s homework in every child’s pink reading record. It is vital that your child has this in school every day and it doesn’t go missing as it will provide a lot of information about tasks, work or information from our class. It is good practise for secondary school where they will have to be responsible for all their books too.

The pink reading records also have log in details, year group spelling word lists and details of their new spellings too. Homework will be important. I appreciate that our class have a lot going on but good routines and  habits are vital for their next school. I spoke to many of you about this issue and have tried to support in school but it is vital that some work is completed at home ready for Year 7 and beyond. I will be talking to the class as I share with the homework this term but would appreciate your support in helping our class become more independent and responsible for their home learning too.

Thank you

Spring term

We will be revising KS2 spelling objectives from across KS2 in preparation for this year’s SATs. The children will be completing spelling sessions in school and have weekly spelling practise set on Ed Shed to support knowledge at home.

Spellings will be about learning a rule, suffix, prefixes or group of spellings such as homophones etc.
