National Memorial Arboretum Trip

We had a fabulous trip to the NMA once again. The trip was a great introduction to life as an evacuee during World War 2. The children’s outfits were amazing too. We all took part in 2 workshops about rationing and evacuations before heading out into the beautiful grounds for a guided tour of some of the memorials that relate to our class work.

The day finished with an Act of Remembrance in the chapel. We were really moved both by the words shared by some of the children but also because the visit meant we  understood the importance of remembering the service and dedication of the people who lived through this time.
