World Book Week – 4th-8th March

Just a reminder that we are having a World Book Week next week and our focus is going to be on poetry.

Children will need to bring in a plain t-shirt that they can write on! Our aim is to turn the children into walking poems by the end of the week!  T-shirts should be white if possible but any light colour would work as long as they can write on it in felt-pen.

Children will need their t-shirt in school on Monday 4th March. They will add to their t-shirt during the week, then on Friday 8th March, they will wear it for World Book Day and we will have a catwalk fashion parade in the hall!

Tightening up on Uniform and Snacks

Please can we ask for your support with our school uniform and healthy eating policies?

After half term, please could you send your child in with a healthy playtime snack. No crisps, chocolate, cakes or sweets can be eaten at playtime. If your child brings these, we will ask them to save them until they get home. Free fruit is provided for all children in R, 1 and 2.

Uniform: most of the children look really smart, even on PE days, so thank you for helping with this. Please can we remind you that they need plain dark bottoms with their PE T-shirt, plain black, white or grey socks/tights with their uniform and no jewellery.

Pre-loved uniform: we have a huge amount of really good condition branded school uniform for sale in school, which is washed labelled and sorted by our PTA (Friends). Just come to the office if you need anything as it is a really cheap option if you are replacing uniform.

Many thanks for your support.
