Yesterday morning we were lucky enough to have Jacob from Rock Steady come and perform for us. He did a whole school assembly with the children where he introduced them to a range of instruments, let them experience the sound of each instrument and showed them how all the instruments could be arranged to form a piece of rock music. It was very fun and very lively and the children had such a great time! There was lots of singing, dancing and head/hair shaking going on!
The children seem to be especially inspired by the rock element of music at the moment and we have been lucky enough to experience several live rock performances over the last couple of months.
Please remember that your child is able to access music lessons through the Shropshire Music Service and we will be looking into expanding the range of musical instruments the children have exposure to over the coming months.
