Read or listen to Chapter 19:
Both of the children arrive at Buckingham Palace during the changing of the guards. This is something that happens daily in London and I am sure many of you may have seen this for yourself if you have every visited London.
Read some key information on the following website:
Then watch some videos of the ceremony:
Now imagining you are there, write a setting description describing the key events and atmosphere. Use your senses to help add detail and think carefully about using similes and metaphors along with detailed adjectives to really convey a good descriptive piece of writing.
Now continue to listen or read Chapters 20 & 21:
Spelling test: Today at 3.30pm (I shall post the meeting details before the call)
I have used your continents to put you into equal teams. I have also attached a list of different activities for you to complete. You can spend as much time practicing the different exercises as you like but you can only record one official amount.
When you are ready, set the timer and record the amount of repetitions you have completed for the individual exercise on the chart. You have 30 seconds for each exercise.
Once you have completed all (or as many as you can) of the exercises write the total score at the bottom of your chart and send me a picture. I will total up each member of your team to give you a final score.
There will be a prize for the winning team!
You will have until 12pm on Thursday to get your scores to me, any scores sent after that won’t be counted.
